Andrew Wilson has been in therapy for decades. PTSD from the Vietnam War, a war he never wanted to be a part of, riddled Andrew's soul.
Andrew is a Vietnam veteran, and, almost half a century later, Andrew cannot completely forgive himself for his role as soldier in this controversial war. Andrew describes himself as a young coward, unable to stand up for his beliefs as Mohammad Ali did all those years ago.
In this raw episode, Andrew talks about the horrors of the Vietnam War; the rampant drug use; the confusion, guilt, and the ensuing PTSD that plagued him relentlessly.
But this is also a story of overcoming demons through the forgiveness of Andrew's savior, Jesus Christ. Andrew is a participant in the "New Revolution," a movement to spread the beliefs of the Founding Fathers regarding this grand experiment we call America.
Andrew does not see a dark future for America, but a bright future as we come together, united in the goodness of freedom and support of our marvelous republic.
Andrew is an accomplished musician and was a member of different bands in his young adult years. As a part of the "All Of The Above" band, Andrew wrote the song, "The War Is Over." It was a song written for those who served during the Vietnam War. You can find the recording on YouTube. The War Is Over It is a poignant reminder of the trials our military endured during and after this controversial war.
Andrew Wilson spends his time helping other veterans deal with the mental scars of war.

Ep. 70 Brothers-in-Arms/Brothers-in-Life Josh & Jon’s American Story
Thursday May 26, 2022
Thursday May 26, 2022
Joshua & Jon Nicholson are brothers. They both served in the army. Ironically, it was the younger brother, Joshua, who influenced Jon, the older brother, to join the army.
A third brother, Joel, was in the air force...but that doesn't count; their words, not mine. (wink, wink)
Josh and Jon had very different duties while in the army. Josh blew up stuff; Jon was a chaplain's assistant.
Both brothers learned valuable lessons from the military, lessons they still carry today.
In this episode, Josh and Jon share their love and respect for family, military men and women, and this great country.
Josh and Jon's episode was a first for me, the first one with two brothers. The love and admiration between the two is evident. Neither wanted to discuss his own accomplishments, but rather the accomplishments of the other.
In a time when our country is hurting, when family is not seen as important, this episode is uplifting and encouraging. Family is everything, and Josh and Jon know it.

Ep. 68 Overcoming A Challenging Childhood Nick’s American Story Part 1
Wednesday May 11, 2022
Wednesday May 11, 2022
Nicholas (Freeland) Clark had a challenging childhood. His parents divorced when Nick was only a toddler. His mom was the sole provider as Nick's dad ended up in jail with drug charges.
When Nick's dad completed his sentence, he begged his mom to live with his dad. Nick's mom reluctantly agreed.
Little did Nick's mom realize, his dad had fallen back into his old ways, even cooking drugs under the family's trailer.
Nick's dad disappeared for weeks at a time. Nick was left to fend for himself. He dropped out of school to work at Domino's Pizza, loving the feeling of providing for himself.
With Nick's cousin's persistence, he moved to Alaska to work in a fish plant. He loved the arduous work and long hours. It was an escape from the confusion Nick left behind.
Nick was working when he heard about September 11, 2001. He felt a calling to return home. It wasn't a direct path, but eventually Nick enlisted into the U.S. army.
This is only 1/2 of Nick's story. It is so jam packed, I had to create two episodes.
